The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Manager to lead our VMI team and take ownership for the end-to-end supply to our retail grocery key accounts.
You will lead a team of four planners to ensure optimized stock cover in all customer Distribution Centre's, optimize the end-to-end Supply Chain execution, and develop customer relationships with Retail Head Offices to drive high quality reporting, analysis, and insights to strengthen our partnerships.
To achieve this, your responsibilities will include:
- Drive performance by meeting Outbound Service Levels (OBSL) targets across Woolworths and Foodstuffs accounts including optimizing stock cover to meet service, cost and shelf-life expectations
- Provide guidance and mentorship for the VMI planners, as well as co-ordinating other GF supply chain functions to meet key account demand plans based on consolidated forecasting data from sales, advanced modelling and predictive analytics
- Significant customer engagement with their head office functions (planners/category managers) to align on tactical plans as well as supporting quarterly and annual performance reviews with senior stakeholders.
- Align fulfilment and inventory targets with customer replenishment teams to shape and deliver replenishment KPIs and strategies
Is this the right role for you?
To make this role a success we are looking for someone with a strong background in Planning, proven experience in people management, customer relationship management paired with an understanding of full end-to-end supply chain management, preferably with experience in the FMCG or Retail industry.
What we would like to see in your application:
- A demonstratable ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships and manage expectations and concerns accordingly
- Advanced skills in data analysis and the ability to tell a story from the data (Experience in Tableau, SAP IBP & ECC would be useful)
- Prior experience in leading a team and uplifting capability across the team
- A Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Operations or a NZPICS recognized qualification would be useful
