Reporting to our Senior Commercial Manager - Operations, you will be based in our new North Sydney office, and work closely with both our commercial teams and manufacturing sites.


This position forms a part of the market finance team, which provides financial and commercial support to the Operations and Business Leadership team (BLT's) in order to drive long term profitability.

Specifically, you will:


  • Prepare financial forecasts, and understand gaps to budget, including risks and opportunities
  • Continuous improvement in operational finance processes including but not limited to reporting automation, month end processes, liaison with IT on process improvements.
  • Provide business partnering support to the Operations function
  • Subject matter expert on planning and reporting systems used for Operations forecasting/budgeting/reporting
  • Financial accounting and administration. Includes month end stock write off and other general provisions; site accountants' back up when required; managing other non-site related accounting processes.
  • Maintain accurate and on time reporting throughout the year for – Budgets, Forecasts, Actuals, results understanding (variance analysis and commentaries), quarterly compliance reporting , and clear communication of results to the business across conversion costs, waste, production volumes, and working capital.
  • Monitor financial performance against key national operations projects and programs of work


To be successful in this role you will need:


  • A degree qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Sound understanding of management accounting in an FMCG and manufacturing environment, and issues and costs affecting a manufacturing business
  • 3+ years analytical business partnering experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills with an attention to detail, and an ability to question the status quo
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a genuine passion for improvement and a drive to succeed
  • Experience using SAP would be highly preferred
