Reporting to our Maintenance Supervisor you will be based at our Forestville site and work on a rotating roster of 2 days (6am-6pm) and 2 nights (6pm-6am) on then 4 days off (8 week cycle) with 5 weeks annual leave.

 

This position is to provide high quality maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout the plant, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance, to achieve acceptable production levels and a high standard in engineering support.

 

Specifically, you will:

 

  • Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility.
  • Carry out service and repair of mechanical plant and equipment within the facility 
  • Diagnose faults and carry out modifications to mechanical plant and equipment as required.
  • Maximise the use of materials and resources to achieve high efficiencies to produce optimum equipment availabilities.
  • Fabrication/installation of new and reconditioned machinery is also an ongoing function of this position
  • Ensure compliance to HACCP & BRC and required Quality and Food Safety policies procedures.
  • Carry our foreign object walks as required

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

 

  • Trade Qualification – Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting with welding and machining competence.
  • Strong PC Skills
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Organisational / project management skills
  • High degree of  General Trade based Technical Knowledge
  • Manufacturing FMCG experience
  • B class license
  • Welding experience
  • CMMS - computerised maintenance systems
