Reporting to our National Supply Manager, you will be based in our new North Sydney office, and work closely with our procurement, logistics and warehouse and marketing teams and manufacturing sites.

 

This position forms a part of the National Planning team. The Planning Manager – External Manufacturing, is an integral member of the Supply Planning team, will lead External Operations supply planning activities to meet service level targets, inventory and agility objectives.

 

This role will be accountable to drive service, inventory and agility performance across external supply chains and have direct accountability for planning activities and product flow from external partner manufacturing facilities through to delivery of product into the Goodman Fielder distribution network. 

 

Specifically, you will:

 

  • Be key in supporting the National Supply Manager to drive inventory and reporting optimisation in order to achieve the required Service Levels and KPI's for Goodman Fielder Australia. The role is an integral member of the National Supply Planning team.
  • Drive continuous improvement of supply chain processes and drive assigned supply chains to meet inventory entitlement targets. Establish key performance metrics and drive improvement in supplier performance across schedule attainment, inventory management, agility and responsiveness.
  • Be responsible for all elements related to supply planning for outsourced manufacturing sites.
  • Actively participate in setting and implementing the National Supply Planning strategy.
  • Support the National Planning process as it relates to transactions on new materials and vendors
  • Initiate and maintain cross functional relationships to deliver targets, in particular with the Operation and Procurement teams, ensuring the efficient and successful management of the planning function.
  • Supply planning functions to ensure compliance to agreed processes and achieve performance against KPI's.
  • Support review of business processes in relation to the strategies of the National Supply Planning team and the solution or architecture of related business systems.
  • Manage the relationship Internally with key Departments: Commercial, Sales & Marketing, Quality & Compliance, Logistics & Warehousing, R&D and Externally with a wide variety of stakeholders, including, but not limited to External Manufacturing top management, site leaders, and regulatory.

  • SAP experience
  • Project management experience
  • Negotiation and leadership skills
  • Good reporting and data analysis skills
  • Proven analytical capability
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure in a high speed environment
  • Ability to build strong relationships both Internal & external
  • High level of detail and accuracy
  • Understanding of Supply Chain from procurement through to sales
