Reporting to the National Supply Chain Manager, The Waste Optimisation Manager is an integral member of the Supply Chain and Operations Team. It will make a strong contribution to reducing the number of returns, damaged and credited finished goods across the baking and dairy divisions.  You will also develop scorecards and influence KPI's to highlight sales waste and claims performance and drive best practice behavior. 


Key accountabilities of the role include:


  • Establish clear accountable process and standard operating procedures for claims (in store, distribution centre, transport, pricing)
  • Oversee the physical audit process in store and at site for sales waste and claims product returns to insure legitimacy
  • Ensure active input and monitoring of the SAP short term planning book outputs to ensure optimal sales waste levels  
  • Ensure sales waste targets for dairy and baking are achieved as a minimum   
  • Develop a sales waste and claims automated dash board report allowing self-service analysis for the business 
  • Act as the key sales waste and claims representative to the business to a BLT and C suite level
  • Identify, screen and evaluate new solution opportunities to address sales waste and claims
  • Ensure effective regular communication to the business on sales waste and claims as a priority (monthly updates)
  • Ensure all sales waste and claims reporting is simple and concise allowing immediate action to be taken
  • Develop a sales waste and claims spot physical audit process to cater for different areas of the business (site, store, truck)  


The successful applicant will have:


  • 3-5 years' Business Analysis experience
  • Good understanding of the supply chain end to end process
  • Nimble LEAN thinking to drive change and enable growth & efficiencies
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels
  • Experience in SAP BW systems
  • Waste tree fundamentals
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills
  • Project management fundamentals 
  • Stakeholder management  
  • Recognised  supply chain and or operations qualification, preferable
