Our Opportunity

Our Longburn Diary site is currently looking for a Scheduling and Planning Manager to join the team in Palmerston North.

The Scheduling and Planning Manager is an integral member of the Longburn leadership team. The jobholder will manage the overall functions of Purchasing, Inventory, Planning and Data Admin, and will also oversee coordinating and implementing agreed planning, purchasing and inventory manufacturing strategies both on site and participating with other sites within GFNZ.


Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Development of short to medium term production and purchasing planning for the site
  • Purchasing of key materials and ingredients through key suppliers
  • Working closely with the National Planning team to review demand, including key sales promotions and activities
  • Ownership of the Supply and Operations Planning process for the site, including monthly reviews of planning metrics and site inventory


About You


To be successful in your application, you will have:

  • A Supply chain or Operations related degree or Business Administration
  • Experience in a planning and/or purchasing role within FMCG
  • SAP or similar ERP System knowledge
  • The ability to negotiate and influence across all levels
  • A high level of communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people
  • An aim to constantly review and improve processes
  • Advanced Excel skills
