Our Opportunity
We are looking to appoint a Purchasing & Distribution Manager to take ownership for developing a high performance Distribution & Stores team at our Gluten Free manufacturing site in Huntly.
You will have oversight of cost-effective management of materials and packaging, coordinate with line-haul loading/unloading, and ensure supply of materials is continuous and finished product is shipped on time.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the Distribution and stores team to ensure supply of materials is continuous to hit line utilization / production targets
- Communicate material shortages with Planners prior to manufacturing and work with suppliers for purchasing lead times, delivery timelines and balancing CSL
- Monitor progress on budget reporting, stock variances and management of the purchasing function
- Ensures all lost time, hazard identification and injury management incidents are accurately reported and recorded
About You
In order to make this role a success we are looking for an experienced Warehousing, Logistics or Supply Chain manager with either an understanding of or experience in the Food Manufacturing industry.
Other experience, qualifications and skillsets we're looking for, include:
- Prior Supply Chain management experience, including logistics, warehousing & stores management
- Proven quality assurance and food safety systems understanding – an understanding of GMP standards would be beneficial
- SAP experience & a good level of reporting and analytical experience
- Forklift operators certificate with F endorsement
