Our dairy products are well known and include key brands such as Meadow Fresh, Kalo, Puhoi Valley, Tararua, Bouton D'or, Ornelle and Olivani.
Our Opportunity
We are currently looking for a R&D Pilot Plant Technician (PPT) to join our dairy research & development team at Meadow Fresh in Christchurch. As the PPT, you will play a hands-on role in supporting the product development of new dairy products for our dairy export markets.
In this role you will:
- Lead the operation and maintenance of the dairy pilot plant for both your own projects and those of the wider team.
- Lead the shelf-life evaluation of UHT dairy products, including whipping cream and UHT milk.
- Assist the Product Development Technologist in planning, designing, and running pilot plant trials.
- Support PD Technologists in delivering product improvement, new product development, and cost-saving projects to meet specified outcomes.
About You
- A desire to grow your dairy technical skills and long-term career in an the FMCG industry.
- Tertiary qualification in Food Technology or Sciences.
- Detail-focused with a technical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on aptitude for pilot plant and lab equipment.
- An ability to lead and manage projects and manage key deadlines.
- Physically fit (You will need to life 20KG +).
