Job Description

The Opportunity

Due to an internal promotion we are seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join our finance team and play a key role in driving commercial performance across the Dairy and Route Food Service Segment.

Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing and the wider business, this role is responsible for managing and optimising value through the total P&L — from Revenue to EBIT — to ensure profitable growth and alignment with long-term business strategy.

Based in our Auckland office reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you'll act as a trusted advisor to the commercial teams, providing insights, analysis and financial leadership that influence business decisions and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales and Marketing to deliver strategic and financial objectives across key categories and channels.
• Provide deep commercial analysis and insights to identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvements.
• Manage pricing, promotional investment, and category profitability to optimise overall returns.
• Lead financial reviews, support business cases, tenders, and NPD initiatives with robust analysis.
• Drive the finance process for integrated business planning (Strategic Plan, Category Plan, Budget, S&OP).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sound financial controls, accurate forecasting, and informed decision-making.

About You

• You're a commercially astute finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You know how to turn numbers into insights — and insights into action.
• You'll bring:
• A tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting (CA/CPA/MBA preferred).
• 5+ years' experience in commercial finance or analytical business partnering, ideally within FMCG or a complex retail/manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with - Dairy and Route Food Service is highly desirable
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
• Experience with SAP, BI tools, or data analytics platforms is advantageous.
