About the Role

We are looking for a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE)/Training Coordinator to join our Meadow Fresh dairy manufacturing site in Christchurch.

As the HSE/Training Coordinator you will provide day to day support to the HSE Manager to drive a safety culture across all parts of the site; maintain compliance and drive Goodman Fielder's commitment to Safety.

To make this happen, your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and drive HSE improvement through supporting the implementation of risk reduction initiatives
• Coordinate training programmes including conducting safety training across the site safety inductions for new starters, maintaining the site training matrix, and facilitating the review of the site standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Undertake Safety Walks and work site inspections including hazard reporting/identification
• Participate in investigations of minor Safety or Risk incidents and near-misses

About You

For this role to be a success you will have experience  in a similar HSE/Training role and you will be passionate about Safety and driving a Safety-first culture.

Skillsets, qualifications and experience we are looking for include:

• Prior experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental/Training role with a comprehensive understanding of NZ OH&S legislation
• Holder of or working towards relevant HSE certification or qualifications
• Experience of working in a High-Risk environment or manufacturing industry would be beneficial
• Risk assessment ,incident reporting and auditing experience
• Experience facilitating training programmes (eg LMS online learning platform) and reviewing / writing standard operating procedures would be beneficial
