The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our Christchurch-based team at Meadow Fresh.

If successful you will play a vital role in delivering a high standard of dairy products to our customers and consumers.

Responsibilities will include:

· Order Management: Place and manage orders for raw materials and packaging, ensure timely confirmations and handle issues with deliveries.

· Stock Control: Maintain stock levels within agreed limits, manage dated stock issues, and oversee raw material requirements for new product development.

· System Updates: Receipt deliveries into the Stock Management System and close open purchase orders at month-end.

· Team Support: Assist the Planning and Purchasing Team, providing leave cover when needed.

· Safety Compliance: Ensure safe work practices, report hazards, and maintain cleanliness per Food Safety standards.

About you

· A high attention to detail and good time management skills

· An analytical mindset with a high level of numeracy and literacy

· Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders

· Confidence using Microsoft Word and Excel – SAP is desirable

· Food, beverage or dairy process experience is desired but not essential
