About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager to join our Australian Operations team on an 18-month fixed-term contract, based in Macquarie Park, Sydney.

In this national role, you will lead the delivery of process technical capability across our Baking and Grocery manufacturing sites. Managing a team of seven, including Site Technical Managers, you will drive consistent process frameworks, strengthen collaboration between Operations and R&D, and ensure successful commercialisation of new and existing products across the network.

This role plays a key part in improving product quality, operational consistency and manufacturing capability across the Australian business.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop national process technical capability across Baking and Grocery sites, ensuring consistent application of process frameworks and standards
• Manage and coach a team of Site Technical Managers, building capability and a strong performance culture
• Partner with Operations and R&D to deliver seamless commercialisation of new products and process improvements across manufacturing sites
• Develop process frameworks, site process maps and equipment optimisation strategies to improve quality, yield and operational performance
• Lead process control training programs to build technical capability across frontline leadership and operational teams
• Drive benchmarking, ingredient-to-product tracking and process performance monitoring across sites
• Maintain accountability for the technical cost centre and support delivery of operational performance outcomes

What you'll bring

• Strong end-to-end operations experience within a manufacturing environment
• FMCG industry experience, ideally within bakery, grocery or food production
• Technical or process engineering background with proven experience in process improvement and optimisation
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver outcomes across multiple sites
• Strong leadership capability with experience building and developing high-performing technical teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
