Job Description
We're looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team in Auckland.
This is an exciting opportunity to partner with senior leaders across Marketing, Sales and R&D, helping shape the future of some of New Zealand's most loved food brands.
As a trusted commercial advisor, you'll provide financial leadership and challenge across innovation, marketing investment and strategic growth initiatives. You'll play a pivotal role in evaluating opportunities, influencing investment decisions and ensuring resources are allocated to deliver sustainable long-term growth.
This role offers significant exposure across the business and is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, influencing decision-making and turning insight into action.
What you will do
- Partner with Marketing, Sales and R&D leaders to shape commercial strategy and investment decisions
- Lead financial evaluation, business cases and modelling for innovation, new product development and growth initiatives
- Challenge and influence investment choices to maximise profitable growth
- Deliver commercial insights, performance analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across innovation and marketing portfolios
- Evaluate and track the ROI of marketing, innovation and strategic growth investments
- Present clear, compelling recommendations that influence business decisions at all levels
- Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes, reporting and decision support
- Ensure strong financial governance while providing insight that enables growth
What you will bring
- CA, CPA or CIMA qualified (or working towards) is desirable
- 3-5+ years' experience in Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and commercial acumen
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills with experience using SAP, BW or other reporting tools
- FMCG, manufacturing, retail or consumer goods experience is highly desirable
- Big Four accounting experience is advantageous
