About the role
As the Warehouse Team Leader at our Auckland Freight Centre (AFC) you will support the Warehouse Manager to ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency focusing on customer satisfaction as a primary goal.
Based in Penrose you will support implementation of a strategic plan for the our warehouse and logistics network and the change initiatives that align with this plan. You will demonstrate change leadership within the AFC team to ensure effective implementation and adaption of key change initiatives.
You will:
- Resolve customer complaints, investigate root cause and drive the alignment of uniformed processes across the team.
- Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
- Supervise, train and direct assistance of warehouse operations which include, but not limited to, loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, and inventory control.
- Ensure all operational and HSE SOPs are documented and kept up to date. Administration for RMP requirements
- Workforce rostering and approving labour hours, annual leave etc (Kronos, Temp agencies)
- Ensure correct inventory control processes, reconciliation of discrepancies and efficient picking operations
- Site maintenance and MHE is kept to standard, vendor p/o creation and vendor invoice reconciliation
- Maintain accurate personnel records to ensure no non-conformance ie: Training matrix, licences
- Management of the CHEP account.
- Train the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and improve performance
- Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
- Evaluating performance and providing feedback to support growth and development through the creation of skill matrix
To be successful in this role you will need
- Previous experience in a FMCG environment preferred but not essential
- 2+ WMS & SAP knowledge
- Inventory Control
- 2+ years of experience in leading a pick pack warehouse operation
- RMP & Health & Safety procedures preferred but not essential
- MPI TFO approved preferred but not essential
