About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter to work at our manufacturing site in Huntly. As an integral member of the maintenance team, the Maintenance Fitter will make a strong contribution to a high performing Operations team and team culture within our site.

You will provide high quality maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout the plant, with a strong emphasis on preventative maintenance, to achieve acceptable production levels and a high standard in engineering support.

Shift pattern available: Wednesday – Saturday 10am till 8pm (times can be negotiated)

Key Responsibilities: 

• Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility
• Carry out service and repair of Mechanical plant and equipment within the facility, Prioritise all types of given work
• Diagnose faults and carry out modifications to equipment
• Participate in all training as required by the company
• Effective reporting of any issues relating to company SH&E & QA policies
• Point of contact when attending a breakdown

About you:

In order to be successful in this role, we are looking for an experienced maintenance fitter who has a background in both reactive and preventative industrial machinery maintenance.

Experience and qualifications we would like to see include:

• Trade certification with applicable trade and skilled in fitting, turning and machining
• Welding experience and reasonable knowledge in tig welding is beneficial
• Health, Safety and Environment knowledge, including machinery guarding
• A strong growth mindset with an eagerness to learn new skills
• Basic computer documentation skills in Word, Excel etc.
