The Opportunity:
We are seeking a National Account Manager to join our Woolworths New Zealand account team.
To be successful in the role you will be an experienced and commercially driven Account Manager who gets stuff done! You will enjoy being part of a strong team culture and be driven to develop and leave your mark on the team.
The purpose of this role is to drive business development within Woolworths key accounts to deliver sales and financial targets. Enhancing key client relationships to deliver customer collaboration and partnership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Account Management: Develop and implement strategic plans for key accounts like Woolworths, including promotional programs, customer profiles, and growth opportunities.
- Operational Excellence: Manage product, pricing, and promotional strategies, oversee forecasting and demand reviews, and ensure consistent communication across teams.
- Financial Accountability: Achieve financial targets, manage expenses within budget, optimize trade spend, and monitor promotional accruals.
- Customer Relationship Management: Own relationships with key category managers, conduct business reviews, lead NPD processes, and seek new business opportunities.
- Leadership & Development: Role model leadership competencies, promote safety culture, and focus on continuous learning and team empowerment.
The successful applicant will have:
- Proven FMCG Sales Expertise – Experience with major retailers like WWNZ or Foodstuffs is a big plus!
