The Opportunity

The overall purpose of the business analyst is to liaise with relevant business teams to understand and document current business processes and gather business requirements for the future state. They will collaborate with relevant IT team members to analyse and validate business requirements to formulate viable solutions.
In this role you will be working with business subject matter experts and key stakeholders to capture business requirements, mapping process flows and preparing support documentation for projects.
This role is located at Head Office in Macquarie Park Sydney. This role will be for a 12-month fixed-term period. Occasional travel may be required to meet with key stakeholders.
What you will do:
- Liaise with relevant business change teams to gather technical and non-technical business requirements
- Utilise relevant business analysis techniques to perform solution analysis and design. This could include but is not limited to:
- Business process mapping (document ‘as is' and formulate ‘to be' processes)
- Data mapping (critical analysis of data for transformation to future state)
- Requirements Management (requirements traceability, baselining, etc.)
- Enterprise Analysis (benchmark studies, feasibility analysis, etc.)
- Requirements Analysis (process modelling, organisation modelling, use cases, etc.)
- Support the development of Concept Papers and Business Cases for identified opportunities
- Be involved in user acceptance testing where needed
- Liaise with IT implementation teams to support the build and rollout of solutions
- Work alongside an IT project manager to support the delivery of a project to implement those solutions
What you need:
- The ability to engage with a broad group of business and IT teams and build good working relationships
- Experience contributing to the success of a range of small-to-large initiatives with escalating levels of complexity and business criticality
- Experience prioritising multiple tasks to deliver to their relative planned dates
- Experience in working with team during user acceptance testing with alignment to requirements traceability and business processes
- Good knowledge of the IT environment; application and infrastructure
- Understanding of project management methodologies including waterfall and agile
- Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management stakeholders
- Experience with SAP IBP would be advantageous
- Experience with Trade Promotion Management (TPM) processes and applications would be highly regarded
- Experience with FMCG or Retail would be advantageous
