The Opportunity:
Due to an internal move we are seeking a Key Account Manager to join our Foodstuffs South Island Account team on a full-time permanent basis based in Christchurch.
The purpose of this role is to drive business development within FSSI to deliver sales and financial targets, whilst enhancing client relationships to deliver customer collaboration and partnership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Account Management - Develop and maintain strategic Joint Business Plans, implement promotional programs, and identify growth opportunities for the GF product portfolio.
- Operational Excellence - Execute product, pricing, and promotional strategies, collaborate on demand planning, and continuously improve sales systems and processes.
- Financial Accountability - Achieve volume and margin targets, optimize trade investment, manage promotional accruals, and drive S&OP initiatives.
- Data-Driven Decision Making – Develop insights from data sources (Circana, Tableau, SAP etc) to drive commercial decisions and optimize business processes.
- Customer Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with category managers and various key customer contacts, deliver high-quality category business reviews, and lead the NPD process with customer.
- Leadership & Culture - Role model leadership competencies and GF culture, maintain growth plans, and ensure commitment to a zero-harm safety culture.
The successful applicant will;
- Have proven FMCG Sales Expertise – Experience with major FMCG retailers like Foodstuffs or WWNZ is highly desirable.
- Be a natural people person thriving on building relationships with stakeholders from all walks of life.
- Bring energy, drive, and a winning attitude to every team you're involved in.
- Have sharp commercial instincts with a strong understanding of the P&L and financial drivers and use this ability to present compelling proposals.
- Be passionate about exceeding expectations and making smart, impactful decisions with a solution focused mindset.
- Be tech savvy with experience using tools like Circana, Tableau, and SAP is highly advantageous
