About the opportunity:
The Quality Manager is an integral member of the Forestville leadership team, providing leadership for Quality Assurance (QA). The Quality Manager will make a strong contribution to a high performing leadership team and team culture within the Quality function.
Specifically, you will:
- Build the capability of the site leadership team, and ensure that it can execute its requirements under the GF Quality Management System
- Build relationships, manage, support and influence stakeholders in a positive way, to ensure they complete their requirements under the GF QA Management Systems
- Provide leadership and direction for your team, developing them through training and development into a high performing team level
- Support the National Manager to drive improved Quality performance across the region
- Provide site management and personnel with advice and technical support
- Understand potential risk and implement reduction strategies where appropriate
- Actively contribute and collaborate with the GFA QA teams
- Support the National Quality Manager to implement strategic plans and drive improved Quality performance across the region
- Develop and maintain the site quality plans with clear goals and timelines
- Increase Good Manufacturing Practices and adherence across the site
- Lead day to day operations of hygiene cleaning team (7)
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary Qualification in Food Technology or Science related degree
- 3+ years in Quality Lead role in FMCG environment
- Auditing experience
- Sound knowledge of relevant food safety and quality regulatory and customer standards
- Experience developing, implementing & managing quality management systems
- Experience managing customer & consumer quality & food safety issues
- Ability to think logically and dedicated to problem resolution
- Project management skills and ability to meet agreed deadlines
- Exceptional Investigation/Problem solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyse data with the purpose of driving change
