Senior Category Manager – Foodservice & Industrial

We're looking for a commercially minded Senior Category Manager to champion customer and end- user thinking across our Foodservice & Industrial (FS&I) division. This role plays a critical part in shaping where GF competes, how we win, and how we unlock long-term profitable growth across our FS&I portfolio.
Reporting to the Head of FS&I Marketing, you'll be the go to expert for channel insights, competitive intelligence, and data driven strategy — partnering across Marketing, Portfolio, Sales and external customers to deliver meaningful, measurable impact.
About the Role
In this high visibility analytical and strategic position, you will lead the development of channel insights, customer understanding and portfolio analytics to guide commercial decision making across the FS&I channels.
You'll translate data into strategy, insights into action, and opportunities into growth — enabling GF to deliver brilliant customer outcomes, stronger partnerships, and more effective FS&I execution.
Specifically you will:
- Act as the FS&I channel expert, with deep understanding of categories, competitors and market dynamics.
- Leverage all available data and research to build channel, portfolio and brand insights — translating them into strategic and tactical growth opportunities.
- Be a strategic thinker on how to solve category and customer problems with minimal available data and have a good understanding of the food service and industrial landscape
- Be the organisation's problem solver for customer, category and enduser understanding — including category sizing, competitive benchmarking, pricing intelligence and GF performance tracking.
- Support Portfolio, Marketing and Foodservice Sales teams to deliver customer outcomes, NPD launches, expanded ranges and key commercial activations.
- Develop solutions to maximise customer data usage, enhance syndicated data, and elevate GF's primary research programs.
About You
You are analytically strong, commercially sharp and deeply curious about the customer. You thrive on solving problems, influencing decision making and shaping strategy through insight.
- 5+ years in category, channel, sales analytics, insights or strategy roles
- 2+ years in a sales role (FMCG or Foodservice)
- Tertiary qualifications (Degree level)
- Advanced data analysis capability
- Strong customer oriented strategy development experience
- Proven ability in research management
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
