National Automation & Electrical Manager
Lead Manufacturing Automation & Electrical Excellence Across Australasia
At Goodman Fielder, we're passionate about making everyday food better for everyone. We are seeking a National Automation & Electrical Manager to lead electrical, automation, instrumentation and process control strategy across our manufacturing network in Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to the National Engineering Manager, you will drive automation transformation, electrical compliance, engineering governance and emerging technology adoption to improve safety, reliability, productivity and operational performance across multiple manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the national automation strategy, delivering productivity, reliability, safety and cost improvement initiatives across the manufacturing network.
- Lead electrical governance, compliance, machine safety and hazardous area programs, ensuring alignment with legislative and engineering standards.
- Standardise automation, control systems and engineering practices across sites to improve operational performance and reduce risk.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies, digitalisation and data-driven solutions that enhance manufacturing capability.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching and capability development to engineering, maintenance and operations teams across Australia and New Zealand.
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics or related Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience leading automation, electrical compliance and engineering governance programs within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, industrial controls, instrumentation and electrical power systems.
- Expertise in electrical safety, machine safeguarding, functional safety and hazardous area compliance.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, with experience influencing teams across multiple sites.
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, logistics or highly automated production environments is highly desirable.
