Currently we are recruiting for a Packaging Technician to join our dynamic R&D team, The role will be accountable for: Delivery of packaging projects across the GF portfolio, executed using agreed Packaging development & Change management processes, quality and regulatory requirements and manufacturing capability; Packaging Value Engineering; Packaging Sustainability; and Providing technical support to key stakeholders. This is an entry level position. We will consider recent graduates and candidates with up to 2 years' experience. Haven't graduated yet? We will also consider a part time arrangement for someone who will be graduating and ready to take a full time role at the end of the year.
Specifically you will:
- Manage and deliver packaging projects in the grocery space.
- Actively identify and drive projects to enable Goodman Fielder to deliver on its sustainability commitments for 2025 and beyond.
- Actively identify and drive project to bring packaging innovation to the business delivering improvements in cost, consumer appeal os sustainability credentials
- Develop and appropriately communicate project timelines and key milestones highlighting and mitigating risks.
- Ensure regulatory & Packaging sustainability constraints/opportunities are taken into account when developing products.
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of all key development activities, including Packaging specifications, factory trial reports and SAP data.
About You:
- Degree qualified (Food Tech/ Science/ Engineering /Pkg/ Materials science
- Up to 2 years' experience in Packaging Technology role , preferably in FMCG. We will look at Recent graduate or someone due to complete their studies.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving abilities and experience
