The Role
The role will business partner to the Supply Chain Team, leading the Supply Chain Finance team in providing strategic decision support, results analysis and driving accountability to deliver the financial commitments of the business. This position drives process improvement, planning, financial control and compliance in the supply chain function of Goodman Fielder. This role also supports the supply chain for all supply chain movements across Australia but will also be involved in strategic projects.
Please note that there will be some travel required to our Sydney sites from time to time.
The role involves:
- Contribute to the financial inputs for the integrated business planning (Strategic Plan, Budget and S&OP) process relating to the Supply Chain network
- Ensure all financial inputs to the Integrated business planning processes are robust and owned by the Supply Chain and understand gaps to budget, including risks and opportunities
- Support in the consolidation and monitoring of strategic projects
- Partner with Supply Chain Finance team to ensure they deliver on their functional commitments as part of the business long term targets
- Perform product costing, utilisation analysis and supply chain & management reporting
- Determine key cost drivers and measure performance against targets
- Assist in creating business case financials and capex for all Supply Chain projects including Supply Chain contract tenders, ensuring key risks and alternatives are considered
- Monitor performance on all Supply Chain Finance projects against EBIT targets
- Develop financial capability within the team, drive engagement and motivation of team
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Degree Qualified (Commerce or Finance) essential
- CA/CPA or MBA qualification (Desired)
- 8-10+ years analytical business partnering experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in Manufacturing environment (Desired)
- Understanding of Management Accounting in manufacturing
- Cost and management accounting experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
