Our Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Night Shift Maintenance Shift Team Leader to lead our dedicated team of engineers at Quality Bakers, Auckland. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager, you will provide high quality maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout the plant, be the first point of contact for any escalations, and come equipped with a strong background of fault finding.
Night shifts available:
Saturday to Monday (6pm- 6:15am) and Tuesday 6pm-12.15am. total of 41 hours over three and a half nights.
Pay rate:
$52.50 p/h - $57.50 p/h depending on experience.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Lead the night shift team in undertake the scheduled planned maintenance tasks including planned activities for the shift and ensure the CMMS system is updated
- Attend and resolve unplanned maintenance tasks including breakdowns when the on-call Engineer requires assistance
- Document and communicate equipment failure including doing RCA with the team
- Assist with the improvement and the reliability of machinery and challenge the status quo
- Provide technical advice and assistance to the manufacturing team on issues relating to maintenance
- Drive the team in quality and SHE standards to ensure continual improvement in safety for the site and prioritise the elimination of any HSE and quality risks.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of plant improvements to all machinery ensuring compliance with QA, Food Safety and HSE requirements
The successful applicant will have:
- Have a Growth Mindset – sees possibilities, embraces challenges, learns from mistakes, and persists in the face of setback
- 5+ years engineering experience in a maintenance engineering role (mechanical and/or electrical)
- Experience in Food and FMCG manufacturing
- Leadership experience in a maintenance team desirable
- Automation experience desirable
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering/Electrical
