Our Opportunity

The Senior Key Account Manager is an integral member of the Foodstuffs North Island and Sales team, undertaking strong contribution to maintain both a high performing team and GF sales culture whilst continuously building further capability for the future.

Reporting to the Regional Business Manager (Foodstuffs), as a Senior Key Account Manager you will be responsible for the performance, development, execution and growth of our Chilled category within the Foodstuffs account for the North Island Region.  This includes enhancing key client relationships to deliver customer collaboration and partnership and growing business within the account.



Key accountabilities of the role include:


  • Developing, maintaining and implementing strategic account plans, promotional programs and customer profiles for all retail groups
  • Leading and managing the NPD process, both internally with GF stakeholders and externally with key customers
  • Identifying strategic opportunities to drive incremental growth for the GF product portfolio, understanding and interpreting GF's strategic plan and direction
  • Understanding the true cost of conducting our business, achieving all financial targets, optimising trade spend and managing fixed costs within allocated budgets
  • Overseeing the management of forecasting, demand reviews, accruals, PET2 as appropriate
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing two direct report to maximize performance in current role and enable career progression
  • Ensuring own leadership behaviors are consistent with the vision, goals and priorities for GFNZ
  • Driving SOP process including development and implementation of incremental sales generating initiatives
  • Actively seeking new business within existing and new customers



About You


To be successful in your application, you will have:


  • Have at least 2-4 years Account Management. Experience in FMCG would also be highly regarded
  • Have highly developed skills in analysis, presentation, and problem solving
  • Have drive and tenacity to make your mark and further establish a career within FMCG
  • Ideally be Degree qualified in business or relative discipline
  • Have the ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships with your customers by providing insights and business initiatives to drive profitable growth.
  • Be strong in time management and thrive under pressure
