Our Opportunity
We are seeking a highly capable Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team providing key service to meet production requirements at the Quality Bakers Auckland (QBA) site in East Tamaki. 
With a consumer and customer focus as our highest priority, we require someone with the energy, capability and inter-personal skills to make a strong contribution to a high performing maintenance team and team culture within Quality Bakers.  
Your day will be varied and can include stopping machine/line if staff safety is at risk, repair failures to keep lines running, alterations to daily plans and electrical upgrade requirements.
Hours of work: Sunday to Thursday, 6am – 2.30pm
Key accountabilities of the role include:
  • Ensuring plant and equipment on site is kept in a safe and operating condition
  • Contributing to, and enhancing, the electrical reliability of equipment and plant through effective maintenance practices and procedures,thereby ensuring equipment downtime is kept to an absolute minimum and maximum productivity is achieved
  • Ensuring timely and efficient delivery of repair services across the plant, restoring equipment and plant to working order after electrical issues cause malfunction
  • Proactively predicting and preventing plant deterioration 
About You
To be successful in your application, you will have:
  • Experience with continuous high speed processing and packaging equipment in an industrial food production environment
  • A solid grounding in automation and PLCs
  • Proven PLC programming and fault finding skills
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills
  • Root Cause Analysis and Reliability experience
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
